This is truly a family endeavor. Our oldest son works with us, both in the kitchen, and by creating funny and diverse photoshops; our youngest daughter helps out with demos, and is waiting eagerly for when she's old enough for a job in the kitchen. Although we are both from different places in the great state of Wisconsin, we have settled here in the beautiful Chippewa Valley and feel lucky to call it home.
In the summer of June, 2011, Chip Magnet® Salsa was born. We started by selling just a few flavors at outdoor markets, but as demand grew, so did our flavor list. After our first summer, we were approached by several local stores who wanted to put our salsa on their shelves. This pushed us to get officially licensed in the summer of 2012.
We rented a 1000 square foot kitchen in Historic Banbury Place and started making salsa, not only for the outdoor markets, but for retail stores, as well. Over the next two years, we added 150 stores and outgrew that kitchen.
In the summer of 2014, we moved to a 5500 square foot kitchen in Banbury Place, where we make 15 different varieties of salsa, from mild to scorched earth, and deliver 270+ stores in six states; Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri.
We will be expanding into an additional 17 states in the spring of 2017. Look out!
